The Solar Home
Pre-designed for construction on existing single-family lots, this unit provides an economical solution to much needed affordable housing. With a total of 484 square feet of living space, the unit comes complete with all appliances, fixtures, and photovoltaic panels, completely finished and ready for occupancy. With a bedroom alcove and full bath, it meets most local codes for size. Current construction cost is available upon request.
SAN ANSELMO SECOND UNIT
This turn-key prototypical unit provides everything needed to create an affordable independent living space. Included in a fixed price are all appliances - washer/dryer, dishwasher, microwave range hood, granite countertops, and heating by gas fireplace or unit heat exchanger. Photovoltaic solar panels are available as an option.
PROTOTYPE UNIT WITH GARAGE
This new 2nd unit in Peacock Gap combines the typical prototype unit with a related double-car garage. The project is adapted to a sloping site and takes advantage of the south-facing roofs to provide photo-voltaic power to the all-electric unit. Heating is provided by a heat-exchanger system.
